Independent Councillor Micheal Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig has been accussed of making a ‘contrived’ and ‘ill-informed’ argument against Irish government support for a new air link from Derry to Dublin.
He criticised a Sinn Fein Councillor’s call on the government to support the route.
The call came from Cllr Gary Doherty, but opposing it, Councillor Mac Giolla Easbuig claimed a new Derry Dublin route would not benefit Donegal people, and could undermine Donegal Airport in Carrickfinn.
