The Manager of the Radiotherapy Unit which is due to come on stream at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry next year says they are already working on cross border protocols to ensure a seamless transfer of patients to the centre when it opens in around 12 months time.
Una Cardin was speaking ahead of a series of five public briefings, the first of which takes place this evening at 6 o’clock at Letterkenny General Hospital.
There’s a briefing at Altnagelvin tomorrow at 5.30, and in Tyrone County Hospital in Omagh at 2 o’clock on Thursday.
Meetings take place in the coming weeks in Enniskillen and Tyrone.
