Council confirm letter was received by Cllr O’Donnell ahead of last Fridays meeting

 

Donegal County Council have confirmed that a letter has been received by the Council’s Meetings Administrator from Councillor John O’Donnell.
It’s believed this letter was received ahead of last Friday’s Special Meeting of Donegal County Council and was circulated to the elected members of Donegal County Council as requested by Cllr O’Donnell.
The special meeting was held to discuss the aftermath of last weeks RTE investigates programme, which featured Cllr John O’Donnell, and alleged he asked for payment in return for helping out a fictitious wind farm company set up in Donegal.
When contacted by Highland Radio News, the Council said it is not in a position to provide a copy of this correspondence.
