Minister Kathleen Lynch urged to meet community hospital campaigners

Junior Health Minister Kathleen Lynch has been urged to meet with hospital campaigners in Donegal to discuss the future the Ramelton Nursing Unit, Lifford Hospital and St Joseph’s Community Hospital.
Yesterday it was agreed that those against the transfer of long term beds from the three hospitals would unite to oppose any reduction in services at next Saturday’s rally in Stranorlar.
Independent Donegal TD and Election Candidate Thomas Pringle says Minister Lynch must meet with committee members to see at first-hand the importance the facilities have within the communities.
He has written to Minister Lynch calling on her to clear up confusion once and for all:

Meanwhile Election Candidate Tim Jackson is calling on all people of Donegal to take part in this Saturdays protest.
