Police made two arrests yesterday during an investigation into alleged animal cruelty.
The men aged 28 and 22 were interviewed on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to animals and were later released pending further enquiries.
Three dogs were also seized for specialist examination by veterinary surgeons.
Searches were carried out by the Derry City & Strabane District Support Team in the Claudy, Strabane and Ardmore areas.
