Members of the Irish National Teachers Organisation are to vote on industrial action in the next week.
The INTO says in the last five years, close to 4000 management posts have been lost in Primary Schools countrywide.
The INTO are balloting all members nationally for industrial action on the loss of these posts and the resulting increase in workload, with the first phase being the withdrawal of co-operation for the School Self Evaluation inspection model.
