John O’Donnell – “I should have been running”

Independent Councillor John O’Donnell has told Highland Radio News he would have been a candidate in this election had he not become embroiled in controversy after last December’s RTE Investigates programme, during which it was suggested he indicated he would accept payment in return for helping a windfarm company secure planning permission.
Cllr O’Donnell has always maintained he only wanted to support development, and told Greg Hughes today his legal case is continuing………….
