A new operator has been found for the Lough Foyle Ferry linking Greencastle and Magilligan, with hopes that the service can be on the water by the beginning of next month.
The name of the company hasn’t been formally announced, but Greysteel councillor Dermot Nicholl, a member of the Causeway Coast and Glens District Council says the contract has gone to Rooskey Frazer and Company, an experienced ferry operator.
Acting Junior Minister Joe Mc Hugh says news that a tender has been accepted is positive for Inishowen and the wider North West. He’s hopeful the work necessary to get the service up and running can begin immediately…………..
