Donegals Brendan Boyce and Derry’s Aileen Reid are the latest athletes from the North West to be formally selected for Team Ireland at this summers 2016 Olympic Games.
Having competed in London 2012 Milford man Brendan Boyce will again race the 50k walk while Reid who also has a games under her belt will take on the Triathlon.
Brendan finished 29th four years ago while Reid finished 43rd after a crash in the bike section of the Triathlon.
Katie Taylor and Robert Heffernan are also among the latest 16 named which makes it 30 athletes formally selected for the Games in Rio this August.
Letterkenny Rower Sinead Jennings and Raphoe’s Olympic star Chloe Magee were named in the first list.
Each week Team Ireland will add athletes to the list which is expected to top around 85 competing in 14 sports.
