Donegal captain Michael Murphy said they beat Monaghan in Saturday’s Ulster Championship quarter-final because every single player did their very best.
Holders Monaghan were beaten at the second time of asking in yesterday’s replay after the first match was drawn thanks to a dramatic injury time equaliser.
Donegal won the replay in Cavan by a single point – Donegal 0-17 (17) v 2-10 (16) Monaghan – and now face the winner of today’s other semi between Tyrone and Cavan.
