As Irish Water intensifies its campaign to tackle leaks in the water supply, the utility’s conversation specialist is urging people who believe they have leaks on their properties to make contact.
Last week, Irish Water say up to the end of March this year, 1,955 leaks were found within customers’ private property in Donegal, 203 of which have been dealt with under the ‘First Fix Free’ scheme.
The utility says nationally, it’s estimated that 47% of water is lost through leaks, in Donegal, the figure is 37%.
