Letterkenny tri-athlete Aidan Callaghan is celebrating after becoming middle distance national champion.
He won Triathlon Ireland’s 2016 Middle Distance National Championships in Kenmare, Co Kerry, today.
The course covers a 1,900-metre swim, an 80-km cycle, and a 21-km run.
Aidan (pictured thanks to Triathlon Ireland) is with the Letterkenny 24/7 Triathlon Club and finished first overall.
He beat Richie Nichols in second and Mariusz Olejniczak in third.
