The Road Safety Authority is considering publishing the names of people who have been disqualified from driving in the courts, in a similar manner to the publication by Revenue of the names of Tax defaulters.
RSA Chief Executive Moyah Murdock says at present, there is no central database of people convicted of drink driving, and to prodice a public one would, she believes, act as a deterrent.
