Senior Gardai in Donegal are asking elected members in the county to lobby for more Garda resources.
That’s according to the Chair of Donegal’s Joint Policing Committe, Cllr Gerry McMonagle who has obtained figures which show a slashing of the number of Gardai in the county.
Betwee 2008 and 2016 the number of guards in Donegal has beed reduced by 104 from 488 to 384.
