Derry City ended their three day pre season camp in Dublin on Wednesday.
The Candystrips lost out to Shelbourne 1-0.
Adam Evans scored the game’s only goal in the 38th minute to continue the Dublin sides good start to the year, they also beat Bohemians and St Patricks Athletic in recent weeks.
Derry missed a penalty in the second half when Aaron McEneff had his sport kick saved by the Shels keeper.
In earlier games, Derry beat UCD 3-0 on Monday and Cabinteely 4-0 on Tuesday.
Derry start their new Premier Division season on Friday 24th February away to Bohemians.
