Storm Ophelia: The latest on closures and cancellations

 
A Red Weather Alert is in force for the entire country with Hurricane Force Winds expected to hit every county.
All Schools, Colleges and Childcare facilities will be closed and EVERYONE is advised to stay at home.
The Government says NO unnecessary travel or other outdoor activities should be undertaken.
And you’re advised to secure any garden furniture, bins and other outdoor equipment before the storm hits.
Glenveagh National Park
Visitors should avoid Glenveagh National Park and Inch Wildfowl Reserve which will be closed for the duration of the weather warning.
Heavy rainfall is expected and there will be a risk of injury from falling trees and wind blown debris.
Smart Farming Progress Event 
The event to launch the Smart Farming Progress Report, due to take place tomorrow, Monday October 16th has been cancelled due to the severe weather warning.
Driver Theory Test Centres
Driver Theory Test Centres and National Driver Licensing Centres are closed to the public.
Postal Deliveries 
All postal deliveries cancelled for today
Bus Eireann
Bus Eireann will continue suspension of all services for the remainder of the day (October 16^th), in line with advice to the public not to travel.
It is planned that a full schedule of services will resume from tomorrow morning (October 17^th) at 5am.
This includes all Bus Éireann services, the Expressway network, School Transport Scheme, Eurolines and GoBE services.
Some School Transport Scheme services – which travel on minor roads – could be curtailed tomorrow morning or diverted due to flooding or fallen trees.
Scallys Medical Practice 
Scallys Medical Practice are asking patients to attend the clinic as early as possible this morning as they will be closing at 11am.
