The future of the Áras Gaoth Dobhair nursing home has been brought into question once more with further calls on the HSE to take over the running of the facility.
It’s felt locally that to secure the future of the nursing home going forward, the HSE needs to develop it as part of the elder care infrastructure in the county.
Donegal Deputy Thomas Pringle who met with the board of Áras Gaoth Dobhair this week, says the home is constantly struggling to survive, and a simple solution would be for the HSE to move in:
