County Derry PSNI renew appeal following pedestrian’s death

Police in County Derry are renewing their appeal for witnesses just over one week after a 58 year old man lost his life after being struck by a car.
Eamon McCafferty died following the collision in the early hours of Saturday, 18th August.
Mr McCafferty was walking on the Foreglen Road close to Claudy when he was struck by a car around 2am.
Police say people who were travelling on the Forelgen Road around that time could hold information vital to the investigation, and they’re appealing for those people to come forward.
The PSNI are especially keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dashcam or helmet camera footage of Mr. McCafferty walking along the road on the night in question, or of the vehicle involved in the collision.
