Moffett wins Clare Rally but Boyle poised to win Championship

Monaghan’s Josh Moffett in a Ford Fiesta WRC has won the Clare Rally, the penultimate round of the Triton Showers National Rally Championship.
He finished 7.7 seconds ahead of Clonmel’s Roy White with Cork’s Daragh O’Riordan, also in a Fiesta, a minute and 56.1 seconds further behind in third.
Triton Championship contender Donegal’s Declan Boyle in yet another Fiesta finished fifth and a top eight championship points finish in Donegal in early October will be enough to win the series and secure a third national title.
