The Irish Farming Association is calling for tougher sanctions to be introduced to tackle illegal dumping.
It’s warning communities to be alert over the Christmas season as there will be an increase in littering across the countryside.
Bigger fines and the installation of CCTV are some measures the association is suggesting.
