It’s been claimed that ‘hierarchy’ in Fianna Fail have sabotaged Niall Blaney’s chances of representing the party in the forthcoming European Parliament elections.
Fianna Fail’s convention is due to be held in Longford on March 15th – the Friday before St. Patrick’s Day with voting from 2-8pm
Mr Blaney said it was unreasonable to hold it on the Friday of the bank holiday weekend and has accused the party of meddling in the election process to favour another candidate.
Speaking on today’s Nine till Noon Show, he says it’s not too late for the party to open a second box closer to the North West region:
