Gardai have confirmed that a third Garda has been allocated to the Community Policing Unit in Letterkenny.
The Chair of Donegal’s Joint Policing Committee has welcomed the announcement after repeated calls were made for more resources to be deployed to the town to help tackle a recent spike in anti social activity.
Councillor Gerry McMonagle is hopeful going forward that a full complement of staff will be returned to the Community Policing Unit:
