There could be 73,000 fewer jobs here by the end of 2021, if there’s a no-deal Brexit on October 31st.
That’s according to the Central Bank, which is warning of major job losses if the UK crashes out of the EU without a deal.
It says a disorderly exit will lead to shocks to the exchange rate, trade and investment, particularly in the agriculture and SME sectors.
The Bank predicts the unemployment rate would go to just under 7 percent in 2021 in a no-deal scenario.
