Loughrey and Doherty play for Ireland against Portugal

There was a strong Donegal feel to the Republic of Ireland Women’s U-16 side that played against Portugal on Monday.

Jodie Loughrey from Buncrana started for the Irish, and Drumkeen teenager Orlaith Doherty came on as a second half substitute as Ireland lost out in the friendly by 3-1.

Ireland and Portugal will meet again in another friendly on Wednesday.
