Supermoon over Donegal tonight

From approximately 10:30, the sky will be occupied by a supermoon. It will have a orange glow as the moon comes as close as it can to our blue planet.

The moon will appear larger and brighter than usual, bringing out the inner astronomer of those otherwise uninterested.

Astronomy Ireland editor, David Moore, says conditions should be clear, but even some bad weather won’t conceal the beauty of the phenomenon.
