Targeted measures needed to combat cost of living crisis -Deputy MacLochlainn

A Donegal Deputy says the government needs to put targeted measures in place to help people who are struggling to pay their bills cope with the cost of living crisis.

Yesterday, Tanaiste Leo Varadkar says next month’s budget will see people “keep more of the money they earn” thanks to new personal taxation measures.

A 30 percent income tax rate has previously been suggested for middle income earners, though that option hasn’t been discussed by cabinet yet.
