Work has begun this week on the construction of a new footbridge in Crossroads, Killygordon.
The Milltown Footbridge serves a cross border road which includes the local Red Hughs GAA club, Monellan woods walks and Gleneely National School, and is being built with funds raised by local community organisations, in cooperation with Donegal County Council.
Lifford Stranorlar Municipal District Cathaoirleach Patrick McGowan says this is a model that could work in other areas of the Finn Valley………
