Energy prices could increase by 10 percent in peak hours this winter

Electricity prices could increase during peak hours this winter.

The Commission for the Regulation of Utilities said it must “act quickly” to secure energy supply due to the significant risks to the country’s electricity network.

If adopted, the changes would take effect from October 1st and run until next September and would impose 10 percent higher prices during peak times.
