People spend more time talking by text than face-to-face

Half of people spend more time talking to friends and family by text than face-to-face.

48 percent prefer using messaging apps or social media to stay in touch, rather then having conversations in person or over the phone.

The survey by biscuit maker Carr’s, found one third of people admitted to having their phone out at mealtimes, and only one in eight said they had a meaningful conversation at the dinner table.
