Researchers in Japan have discovered dogs cry tears of joy when reunited with their owners.

A study has found dogs had more tears when reunited with their owners – where there was no change when they met strangers.

The research at Azabu University, found higher levels of the love hormone oxytocin in Dogs might increase tears, due to the bonds they’ve formed with their owners.
