Calls for Government to intervene after 35 percent SSE Airtricity price hike

A People Before Profit TD says that the Irish Government must intervene and cap energy price hikes.

That’s after SSE Airtricity announced that it was putting up the cost of its electricity by over 35 per cent, and gas by 39 per cent.

Deputy Brid Smith says the Government now needs to step in, like in other European countries….
