A Carndonagh Councillor has called for more action to be taken to protect our rivers, after a major fish kill at the weekend.
Inland Fisheries Ireland believe upwards of 2,000 fish may have been killed in the Glenagannon river near Carndonagh.
It is believed locally that the fish kill occurred likely because of contaminated water.
IFI say that further information regarding the kill will be released in due course.
