The number of new car registrations in Donegal is up over 3%.
Latest figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show 2,321 new cars were registered in the county in August this year, up from 2,248 during the same period last year.
Brian Cooke, Director General of SIMI says while new car sales showed some improvement during August, year on year sales are still marginally behind last year and 14% behind pre-COVID levels.
Supply chain issues are said to still be hampering both the new and used car markets.
