New safety measures have been installed at the Cathedral one-way system in Letterkenny.
The residents of College Row and Convent Road had previously raised concerns about overgrown hedging in the area making it dangerous for pedestrians and motorists.
Hedging has now been removed and a safety handrail is to be installed in the coming days at the crossing near Loreto Letterkenny to Scoil Cholmcille.
Letterkenny-Milford Cathaoirleach Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly has welcomed the progress and says it will help both pedestrians and motorists in the area..
