Donegal County Council is being urged as a matter of urgency to put by-laws in place in a bid to deter motorists from blocking access to slipways at piers and harbours.
The issue is prevalent in Inishowen with fears should an emergency arise, the RNLI could be delayed launching as a result.
Councillor Johnny McGuinness says regulations need to be put in place to be able to enforce parking restrictions.
