The cabinet is set to sign off on an 80 cent an hour increase in the minimum wage this morning.

An 80c rise in the minimum wage will be proposed by Tánaiste Leo Varadkar while Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe is expected to bring forward the taxation commission report which includes changes to inheritance tax.
Chief Whip Jack Chambers will outline the priority legislation for this new Dáil term including 38 Government bills.
They feature new housing planning legislation, abortion safe zones around hospitals the right to request remote working and auto enrolment pensions.
But in the Dáil chamber the cost of living crisis will dominate with just two weeks to go until the budget.
Sinn Féin will press a motion on measures to help households including a cap on energy bills, though Government won’t have to adopt it.
While TDs will also hear statements on impropriety found by the IBRC Commission, in its first sitting day since TDs took their summer holidays in July.
