Police car damaged in Strabane by vehicle that may have come from Donegal

Police are Strabane are seeking help in establishing the movements and whereabouts of a vehicle that damaged a police car in the town last evening.

At around ten past seven last night, PSNI officers on patrol in Strabane were alerted to a red BMW 3 Series on Lifford Road. They attempted to stop the vehicle as it travelled into O’Nolan Park, however, as the driver of the BMW made off, they say the vehicle collided with the police car causing damage to the front of it.

Neither of the two officers in the police car were injured.

Police say they are anxious to establish the identity of the driver and the whereabouts of the red BMW, and are are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen it, or have dashcam footage. They believe, at this time, it may have travelled into Strabane from Donegal.
