A Foyle MLA says the changes made yesterday to the UK’s mini-budget do not address the serious issues which will leave many people in the North West living in poverty.
Padraig Delargy says while the u-turn on scrapping the 45% income tax rate for high earners is making headlines, it’s nothing more than window dressing to hide the fact that the British government’s economic policy is still geared towards supporting the wealthy.
He says this means a reformed executive is more vital now than ever before………
