Paddy Carr has named his first line up as Donegal Manager ahead of the counties McKenna Cup opener in Newry against Down on Sunday.

Termon’s Jamie Grant, Muff’s Coalan McColgan and Glenfin’s Luke McGlynn have been given first starts in a Donegal senior jersey.

Grant and McColgan played in the competition last season while this is the first year for McGlynn.

With Shaun Patton injuried, Michael Lynch will man the goals.

Stephen McMenamin, Brendan McCole, Caolan Ward and Jeac McKelvey are named in the defence.

Milford’s Rory O’Donnell is given a third start at midfield alongside Caolan McGonagle while Ciaran Thompson, Conor O’Donnell, Jamie Brennan, Patrick McBrearty and Daire O’Baoill are in the forward lines.
