Concern over assessment delays for children with disabilities

Almost 2,200 needs assessments for Irish children with disabilities are at least three months overdue.

In total, almost 3,500 were overdue at the end of September, according to the HSE.

They’re legally supposed to be finished within six months – and allow children to get care for autism and other issues.
