Drivers caught speeding during ‘Safety at the gate’ day at Donegal school

A number of motorists were caught speeding during a road safety event outside a school in South Donegal today.

Gardaí from Donegal Town Roads Policing Unit were conducting a ‘Safety at the gate’ day outside Kilbarron National School in conjunction with the Road Safety Authority of Ireland.

Two fixed charge penalty notices were issued to motorists who were travelling in excess of the 60km/h limit.

Gardai are warning drivers to ensure they slow down when approaching a school and to expect the unexpected at all times.
