Donegal Minister Charlie McConalogue says he’s been told by the Minister for Health that the HSE has been asked to deploy a specialist emergency department team to Letterkenny University Hospital.
It comes in a bid to resolve the ongoing issues faced by the department, particularly in relation to patient safety and wait times.
Almost 80 GPs last week deferred a meeting with Minister Stephen Donnelley until a time where he could see first-hand the crisis in LUH.
