Police are treating an attack on a man in Strabane on New Year’s Eve as a “racially-motivated hate crime”.
The man in his 40s sustained serious facial injuries after being punched and kicked outside Strabane Library on Railway Street just before 2:15am on Sunday.
Police have described it as a nasty assault.
They say they are aware that many people were socialising on Railway Streety at the time and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the attack or has a recording of it to contact them.
