Motorsport Ireland will include three locations in their bid to bring the World Rally Championship to Ireland.
Limerick, Tralee, and Waterford will rotate hosting between 2025 and 2027 should Ireland’s bid be successful.
The locations were announcement this morning in Dublin following visits to the three potential venues last week by Motorsport Ireland and the WRC Promotor.
The next stage of the bid process will see organisers look to secure funding of 15 million euro from the Irish Government.
Motorsport Ireland says the world rally is expected to generate revenue of 300 million over the three years.
The WRC last came to Ireland in 2007 and 2009, with Sebastien Loeb winning both events.
