A man has been arrested today in connection with the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell.
DCI Caldwell was shot multiple times outside a leisure centre in Omagh in February 2023.
The 44 year old man was arrested in the Dungannon area under the Terrorism Act and has been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
A property was also searched and a number of items taken away for further examination.
