Sending police to Donegal is not the answer to illegal migrants – Prime Minster Sunak

The British Prime Minister has called on the Irish government to work with them on securing the external borders of the Common Travel Area saying sending police to ‘villages in Donegal’ is not the answer.

It comes as tension remains between the two governments over the impact of Britain’s Rwanda Act on migration patterns here.

Rishi Sunak insists the UK does not have a legal obligation to accept returns of illegal migrants from Ireland:
