HSE makes booster plea as new Covid variant is found in Northern Ireland

A new covid variant has been detected in Northern Ireland.

Six cases of the KP 2 strain have been recorded.

It comes as 109 people were hospitalised with Covid in the Republic in the last week.

Dr Lucy Jessop, HSE’s National Immunisation Lead, is urging those who are eligible to get a booster dose of the vaccine……………..
