The Justice Minister is looking for Government approval to extend Ireland’s counter terrorism laws.
Helen McEntee will tell Cabinet “a real and persistent” threat remains from so-called dissident republican paramilitary groups.
The renewal has to pass both houses of the Oireachtas.
Higher Education Minister and Limerick TD Patrick O’Donavan says the laws are needed to maintain the non-jury Special Criminal Court……………..
