Donegal were defeated by Cork on Saturday at Páirc Uí Rinn.
The game finished on a score line of 3-9 to 0-16 in The Rebels’ favour.
This marked Donegal’s first defeat of this year’s championship.
Retired Donegal intercounty player John Gildea spoke with Highland Radio’s Pauric Hilferty on The Sunday Sport Show.
“Maybe people underestimated Cork…..Cork have only been beaten once in the last eight games and that was by Kerry,” said Gildea.
