At least 400 fish dead in St. Johnston fish kill

There’s been another major fish kill in Donegal.

Loughs Agency has confirmed that a pollutive substance was discovered in the St. Johnston Burn yesterday.

Their investigation found that 7km of the watercourse had been affected and around 400 fish carcasses have been collected to date, a figure which is expected to rise in the coming days.

While the investigation is ongoing, fisheries officers believe they have identified the source.
